I am interested in global issues such as trade, education and competition in the hopes of providing a foundation for myself and others to develop solutions that work for both developed and developing countries. I am always in search of good opportunities to collaborate with others on these efforts.
January, 2008
In 2008, I began graduate studies in international commerce and policy at George Mason University. My goal was to gain a solid understanding of the global economy. The 2008-09 financial crisis made the effort challenging, as existing systems gave way to new circumstances, and I soon discovered that my learning would extend beyond my formal education. The studies took me overseas to China, India, Singapore, and other emerging economies in Asia.
January, 2001
I spent five years on Capitol Hill producing daily news reports about policies and politics. I discovered I had a knack for understanding underlying dynamics of our democratic system. I earned a reputation on and off Capital Hill as an impartial and objective reporter who uses fact-based information to tell the story.
